This guide shows students how to do research and to write a paper. Additionally, this guide provides tips on how to use databases such as Questia and EBSCO.


Student, faculty, and staff may check out books and back list periodicals from the general collection. The audio & visual collection is available to faculty and there is a growing audio and video collection for students. Books check out to students for 3 weeks and may be renewed unless there is a hold request on the title.


· The Library has a laser printer and photocopier.

· The Library meeting area offers Projection and premium sound capability.

· A conference Room is available for adult let groups and to students with teacher’s consent.

Reference Assistance:

The Library has a reference section of about 1,000 printed volumes on all areas of the Mercy Curriculum. We also offer 6 Free Databases that students have access to at all times.

Our Databases include:

Ebsco eText, Ebsco Explora, Science Reference Center, Literary Reference Center, Questia Schools, and Eric.
